as title says.
Bit late I know but have decided I can't carry on soaked through any longer.
Can anyone recommend some decent (not too expensive please) over trousers?

I have waterproof cycling trousers, have two pairs, so when one pair gets up to the eyes in clarts I have another pair while they get washed, cost less than a tenner. Warm when worn with thermals and jods underneath, fine to ride in too if wearing short boots , they have Velcro on bottom to secure round boots.

If its just waterproof you are looking for you can get something called "Dri Riders". Designed for cycling they cover your thighs so you don't soak through when mounted. Great, light weight and easy to use without any risk of slipping about on the saddle. But if you want warm too there are some great German thinsulate over trousers on ebay for a reasonable price.

I bought 2 pairs of over trousers from Lidl ages ago, they were for motorcyclists but are excellent for riding! Velcro straps on legs, elasticated waist and a scotchlite piping line down the side of the leg.

Army surplus on ebay, dont know abour womens sizes but if they do them they are great. all gortex, top of the range material for £20 ish. navy and air force stuff for sensible non camoflage colours. also royal mail surplus are good got 2 pairs of gortex for £15 each. need to wear jods etc underneath as arent warm just water proof breathable.

Berghaus over trousers from Go Outdoors - they have zips and poppers up the side of the legs to make it easier to put on over joddies and boots. Around £45 quid - very light and comfy and totally waterproof
