I am being optimistic and planning for my horse being allowed out in 12 days time after his scan (fingers crossed, i need some light at the end of my tunnel!). I have informed YO, paddock is ready, just need to set up the electric fencing. Everything is pretty much arrnaged... except footwear!
He is currently still being bandaged in his stable and booted up for walking out in hand. He still needs that bit of support I believe for his bad leg and I need him to be protected when turned out. I don't think I'll ever turn him out without boots on again after this fiasco...
So, what can you suggest? I'm not sure whether to go for fetlock coverage or not. Neoprene or leather. Turnout chaps or boots (be it tendon or brushing...).
I am going for a trip to Robinsons and looking online for ideas, but welcome ANY advice/experiences/recommendations you have - have given myself nearly two weeks to sort it, so there's time to order online if needs be
