Recommendations- Cooler/Fleece Rugs for a Traditional Cob

Okay, so I havent been online for a while... really busy... :). But i am now faced with an enjoyable conundrum.... my pony, Apache, who is a beautiful traditional coloured cob, needs a new fleecey rug or cooler type thing... i was just wondering if anyone had any good recommendations or warnings about which rugs to get or not... ;) His size is around 6ft3 so must come in that size, b/c although he is only 13hh he is a cob after all!!

Wow he's in a big rug for 13hh! My 15.1hh cob mare is the same size!

Anyway, I recently bought her a Horseware Amigo Mio off eBay, which fit her fantastically until she ripped it in the stable :rolleyes: but I'd def go for it again.
 
wow the big cob is a 6'3/6'6 and he is 16hh m/w coloured (although they have to be the bigger necked versions)! Anyway I like the old style waffle coolers best, have just got a Loveson one which is black with a gold/beige coloured check and trim, looks very smart on a coloured! :)
 
Thanks for the advice!! Yeah hes always been taken a large rug size, i think that he is just a few inches short in the leg department but not in the belly or bottom one! (not that he is obese... he is doing sooo much work atm... ;) )

I think horseware fits coblets well- my boy has a rambo fleece and an amigo jersey cooler and both fit his large apple-shaped derrier and broad chest :D

Yay! I'm not the only one with a smaller animal in a larger ones clothes ;)Only a few hands difference.... hes always looked bigger than 13.3hh anyway, plus wearing amigo and stuff means that he often is in a larger rug rather than a more modest one... oh well... he varies from around 6ft to 6ft3 at the moment he is much more comfy in his 6ft3 one... :D
