Recommendations for a horsey portrait?

Has anyone commissioned an artist to draw/ paint their horse?

I lost my boy on the 1st December, and always wanted a large, gorgeous frame of his head. I can't decide if I would prefer him drawn or painted, but I definitely want him in colour and detailed.

Bit of a problem with photos - I don't have one exact photo to go off, but I do have plenty to work with. Hoping that will be enough, seeing as he's no longer here to be a live model!

Any recommendations? And anybody willing to share a snap of their portraits?

I'm not sure if this lady would suit as her drawings are pencil but she did a beautiful picture of my boy using bits from different photos.

Sorry to piggy back- but does anyone have any recommendations for an artist who would do a full body portrait of a horse? I've been searching but most seem to prefer doing headshots only , any tips would be great !

Another recommendation for Pilar. She did a spectacular portrait of the mare I lost last year - captured both her complex colour (spotty with the varnish gene) and her rather 'unique' character. It's an incredible piece and I love it.
