Recommendations for brown leather long boots

As per title, I would like a lovely pair of brown leather long boots for riding.

At the moment I ride in short boots and half chaps, and will continue to do so for 'yard' riding, but as Bailey and I are thinking of starting to go to parties (god help me!) I would like to look smarter.

Any suggestions, with pictures and pricing would be appreciated!

May be a silly question, but just to check - are there any rules in dressage which prohibit wearing brown boots? I genuinely don't know and all the comp reports I can recall on here that have pictures seem to show riders in black boots. Obviously if this is the case I will re-think the brown, although it matches Bailey better as he is a dun :D

Thanks Kenzo - long time no speak! How are the ponies doing?

I think I would need to see them in the flesh. The pictures aren't flattering as they make the foot look enormous and at a size 6 my feet aren't exactly petite! How did you find them from a comfort point of view when you tried them on?

I do quite like the boots that have a lace up but but not all the way to the top if that makes sense! :D

I'm not bad thank you, neds...well just the usual really, costing money and giving the husband something to moan about, so it's business as usual :D

Well they certainly felt more comfortable than my Petrie boots which are twice as expensive, I think they may be small fittings however as my Petries are a 4.5 (I take a 5 normally) but I tried on a size 6 and they felt nice, not sure if they come in different calf sizes (didn't read the link, just posted it to show you what they look like) but I wouldn't say I have thin pins but they zipped ok without being tight, so providing youre a regular in the leg or have or have quite slim legs then I'd say they will fit nice, friend has a pair and she's a size 6 and they certainly don't look big in the foot on her, they look really smart, so for a cheaper competition boot I'd say there worth looking at, I just wanted them because they were brown to be honest....and just because they are more affordable for me.:)
 
That's good to know. I know what you mean about price; they would be within budget. If I'm lucky OH may help with them...he's already asking about potential birthday presents :D

Do Brogini normally go to badminton? May. A good opportunity to try them!

Most good saddlers/tack shops who have a selection of makes will usually sell Brogini boots, so I recon you'll see a stall selling them at Badminton, I'd be surprised if you didn't. :)
