Recommendations for chunky soled riding boots!

Afternoon! I'm after some new black riding boots! I have some beautiful mountain horse sovereign boots however I find myself always riding in my ariat country boots as I prefer the wider and chunkier sole! But they're brown (and grubby!) so would appreciate any recommendations for some nice leather boots that are comfy and have a chunky sole. Please :-)
 
Please do not ride in boots with a chunky sole as I think that was the cause of me being dragged in a near fatal riding accident it is not worth the risk!
 
I was wearing my rydale country boots which I had ridden in for years but they had a chunky sole and got wedged in the stirrups when I fell at speed and I was knocked unconscious and dragged. I don't know why the leather didn't come off the stirrup bar as it did when tested later. I would advise always wearing smooth soled riding boots with safety stirrups.
 
This is why I cringe when I see people wearing wellies/trainers/walking boots for riding. Even riding schools let them wear wellies especially kids.
 
Riding schools allow Wellies but surely only if they have heels? Any ridng boots should have heels. My Western boots have heels but I never ride in them. I suspect that if I fell off wearing them, the boots would remain in the stirrups and my feet would come right out of the boots. My chunkiest boots are my Mountain Horse winter lace up short boots.
I was tempted to buy some long Dubarry country boots, but wasnt entirely sure they would be safe to ride in.
OH and I used to be serious walkers with serious boots. I never rode in mine. And still dont. Neither my mountain boots nor my lighter walking ones. There is a big difference. Out walking one needs ankle support. But riding one needs flexible ankles.
 
I ride mainly in my Dublin river boots but when I’m away from the yard I’ll wear my brogini long black ones.
 
It isn't just the tread on the sole it's the width of the boots round the ankle it's hard to describe. My boots had a heel , my pony bolted and was bucking she then turned sharp right I came off at speed and was flung backwards and to the side, my foot must have jammed upwards in the stirrup and I was dragged. My injury in the leg was my heel bone was fractured and took the Achilles tendon with it. I was unconscious so don't remember the impact. When I was in pre op the anaesthetist said this is an unusual injury normally only seen in divers tha have been caught in ropes that's when looking at all the other injuries and where I was found we realised I had been dragged. I am lucky to be walking again.
 
Toggi Calgary - not too chunky but enough to be comfy and they're pretty reasonably priced too. You often find a good deal for them on Ebay.
 
Bareback footwear Montana boots are a big chunkier than normal long boots. They are very comfortable - I use them for hacking out.
 
I rode in mountain horse high riders for many years and found them very comfortable, they never got stuck when I came off as I had quite wide stirrup irons deliberately..
