Anyone use cordless clippers for doing heads? Need some for work, need to be good at getting through thick coats but mainly for use of faces so fairly quiet? Have Listers for rest if clipping but they are a bit loud and clunky for pony heads. Thanks in advance 😊

I have Wahl ones there pretty quiet I bought them as one of my horses will not tolerate big clippers on his face he rears if you try, I can clip his face with the Wahl ones without a head collar on makes such a difference, I think they were £55 they come with length guards so good for feathers as well.

Librettos are fab lightweight and quiet :)

ETA mine use the same battery/mains adapter as my heavy duty listers clippers

I've got Liveryman Harmony: USELESS unless you've got a TB or WB coat, then it might just do a half-decent job. The rest of the time as useless as a nun in a punch up, apart from being handy to clip the dog!!
I wish someone had told me this before I bought a set.

I now have some Heineger Saphir which are workhorses but maybe a little more noisy than you would want.

HD Roamer? My MD (medium duty) do a decent clip on the neck and head, but I wouldn't like to use them regularly, as the blades blunt easily (same as Harmony), so I'd avoid the A5 style blades for proper work.
