Simple systems will soak between those times, if you use boiling/hot water, i have tried a few varities of grassnuts and all seem to take an age if you use cold water
How much water do you add? If I dampen my SS nuts they are done in 10 min. Remember you don't need to soak them to feed them - maybe your just using too much water.
Not a quick one but avoid baileys fibre nuggets! Lovely feed but even with boiling water they don't soak, usually taking a few hours! (May be quicker but I used to soak in boiling am, and by pm -perhaps 8 hrs later- still some big lumps. It was winter though!
Why not soak nuts in the morning for feeding in the evening and vice versa. It will do no harm at all to leave them for 12 hrs to soak as long as it isn't kept in a hot environment.
Emerald feeds? Why just not leave a bucket to soak for 24 hours... cant see it going off in this weather. Just put a small amount of water in and it will take longer to soak up!
Regardless of the brand you choose, I found soaking pellets in a closed bucket and using boiling water reduces soaking time to maybe a 10th! I use old supplement buckets with lids on.
Rowan Barbary's Solution Mash, for example, is supposed to take 30 min to soak. Using this system, takes less than 5 to completely brake down.
