i am having horse vetted tomorrow and as long as she passes i will be picking her up tomorrow night. So because i only viewed her on sat just gone i am now trying to get quotes.
So has anyone used......

Scottish Equestrian
Stoneways
Amtrust
Shearwater

Pls dont say nfu - they wont quote without having 5 stage vetting already done? thats no good if i want to collect her same day!

thanks :)

(Really with the NFU - they quoted me without even having a vetting done and now fully insured with them without any vetting.)

Just remembered this was because she was under the £5000 limit, sorry waste of post and no help!

yeah i called them and said they would need vets certificate before covering - so would have to travel back without cover as wouldnt be able to get certificate to them in time - only insuring for 3k too. not for loss of use either!

I insured mine with NFU and didnt have to provide vets cert (as wasnt vetted) it could be they are asking for it because you are having it done. I assume you told them you were having the horse vetted when you rang for the quote?

I have Amtrust insurance - they were really helpful when quoting and explained everything thoroughly. Amtrust only asked what level of vetting he passed, (I did a two stage one).

NFU were a nightmare for me - they didn't have enough 'equine staff' to quote me so I had to chase them but to no avail! They were good for quoting my rider insurance but again had to call back due to lack of equine people.

it may be with nfu that i didnt get an equine staff then - as i didnt even give any details - just said being vetted and want cover to commence that day as would be collected and was abruptly told we cant cover until we have the physical copy of vetting!

ah - good amtrust were good then?
excellent
