I have a set of super reliable (famous last words) Heininger clippers but need to invest in trimmers as have hairy legs to do and would be grateful for recommendations. Not my hairy legs I hasten to add!
They're actually big enough to do a full hunter clip on my hairy beastie, but they're dead light and quiet, so brilliant for legs, beards, etc etc. I managed to do 3 full clips (1 horse, 2 ponies) and a hog on one set of blades last year. The second set of blades did 2 hogs, and 2 full re-clips.
ETA - there was still plenty left in the second set of blades tho!
I have Lister Meteors - mine are now 7 years old and still going strong. They are definitely trimmers rather than clippers but I did a whole horse with them last winter as she wouldn't tolerate my noisy Mustangs! They are ace for keeping on top of legs/heels/beards etc and I use them all year round on my mare.
