i really need some for this winter, and i think i need them now. it's chuffing freezing here. what are the best ones please? ideally sticky-bum, for naughty horses in the wind and rain.
last winter my big lad spooked so violently at canter (when it was wet and windy) i landed behind the saddle on his bum. my sticky-bum jodhs and a lot of determination kept me on through the set of 10 megabucks he did to tell me what he thought of me landing there. i managed to climb back over the cantle into the plate (he's over 18hh, i wasn't getting off!) thank god for sticky-bum jodhs, or i wouldn't have any teeth left if i'd come off the back!

Hello!

OH gets on well with the Mountain Horse warm chaps - being a skinny git he gets really cold - he didn't like the thicker breeches

I on the other hand being more chubby than I would like, never feel our siberian cold off the wash and ride in summer jods all year round and muck out in a polo shirt in january!

ggrrr, now i'm really envious of you and your personal central heating thing... i get absolutely freezing and get chillblains on my thighs.

i've got the mountain horse chaps, i just find them too cumbersome for yard duties. ta tho.

Caldene used to do these amazing winter jods that had a fleece outer to them, sounds odd but they were very smart. They were used by a famous endurance rider that used to go to really cold places on rides, can't remember her name.I have a pair as the tack shop i used to work in gave them to me when i left, they stopped making them shortly after i got mine, shame as they are fab for winter riding. I also have a pair of musto thermal jods which are great not cheap at £70 i think but i would warn that they come up small,i'm a size 8 in most things and the small size is snug on me. Very warm for cold weather.
