Recommendations for treatment for an occult sarcoid?

My new pony has an occult sarcoid right under the bridle, so now I am deciding whether to leave well alone or start pasting on the sarcoid cream

I know its a good time of year, but with a flat happy looking sarcoid (almost looks like a callus from the bridle) would I be better off leaving well alone?
 
If it was anywhere but where you need to put tack I would say leave well alone - my lad that I have just sold had 2 on his sheath and they never caused an issue.
Although there are a lot of topical creams available for sarcoids, I would get vet advice first as the more you fiddle with a sarcoid, the worse they can get and may even spread.

I'm afraid I'm going to buck the trend and suggest you get your vet out to look at it asap.
My mare had just the same as what you are describing. An occult sarcoid just under her head piece. The vet had already noted it as I just wanted them to check it. So the clock was going on my insurance. I wanted it sorted too as I was concered that it might cause discomfort because of where it was.
Liverpool cream was recommended, it took over 3 months to get the cream (!). Over this time the sarcoid changed massively and grew alot in size as well as becoming irritated, ulcerated and an open wound (not because of rubbing but because the skin couldn't cope with the rate of growth and so kept splitting). She could no longer be ridden, or even led out in a headcollar as the sarcoid was so sore for her. As the sarcoid changed so much while we were waiting for the cream, that treatment was no longer appropriate and the vet suggested different treatment. Well, after over 4 months off the treatment seems to have been a massive sucess and there is barely a sign of it at all now. My mare is comfortable and I am able to ride her again.
It was scary how fast it changed and how bad it got from just a tiny dry looking bit of skin. I would just get the thing sorted as soon as you can.
 
Take some digital photos and email them to your vet so they can forward them to Liverpool for their recommendations as to treatment etc.
