Recommendations for winter jodhpurs, please? And what is the difference between jods and riding tights?

I discovered tights this summer. Bought some horsewear ones, lovely and thin and ideal in the summer. However they dont leave much to the imagination :p

I have their summer one brill when its warm but I got their winter ones last year and they are fab fleece lined warm and comfy but you do have to go up a size.

I love my Musto Snug Polartec jodphurs which are actually more like riding tights as they are pull on with a stirrup under the foot. Not cheap but they are hardwearing. I've had mine for years and I wear them most days in the winter.

Me too, I must have had mine for over 5 years now and also wear them most days through the winter, so much more comfortable than traditional jodhpurs and warm too

I bought some of the Decathalon ones. I'm a 10 and went for small but they were far too tight so had to go up to medium which is odd as they are 12-14 but they fit OK. They are very snug and comfy. I also bought their winter gilet but went for small and that was OK.

Eileen Douglas has buy one get one half price offer on a lot of breeches including two pairs of Ariat winter breeches for £90! I managed to find Horze Mia thermal breeches half price (£35) and they're really warm and fit nicely as have a high waist and stretchy material
