My mum very kindly purchased a hunter bridle for my 3yo this summer- however it has no reins.

I have been trying to match these with all the off the shelf reins in every possible shop within a 50 mile radius with no luck.

So any recomendations on anyone who can match and then make a set of plain and laced reins????

Matty Marlows Heritage Saddlery? He might be able to make you what you want. He makes made to measure saddles. But don't get confused with the other heritage brand as I'm not sure that's english leather. I think the website address is heritage saddlery.co.uk. He has lots of bridle work on eBay.

Try phoning Plas Equestrian. They do made to measure leather work as well as all their synthetic tack. Very happy with tack I've bought for them, mtm same price as off the peg last time I had a bridle mtm!

You will need to find a bridle maker who has a big stock of hides, there are so many subtlety different colours out there no one will want to spend £200 buying in a side just to make one pair of reins. As a small scale maker I can only afford to buy standard havana and black hides.
