Is there a good cost effective supplement specifically for this?

Recommendations? Products good or bad, please.

If I was to feed magnesium, I would go with Equistro Betamag or Betamag Forte, I'm not sure how cost effective it would be as would have to check dosage and prices.

equine americas magnitude is a magnesium powder supplement. You only have to feed a very small amount a day and the tub lasts for months.

If you are wanting to feed magnesium as a calmer then try Nupafeed - magnesium based liquid supplement added to feed. Its quite expensive but again, lasts a long time and actually works!

I wouldnt bother with Blue Chip Karma or NAF Magic

I bought a tub of NAF Magic which has magnesium in it. It wasn't cheap, and guess what, naughty pony wouldn't even entertain eating it. Grrrr!

Now she is fed Mollichaff Calmer which is chaff with added magnesium among other things. She LOVES it, always licks the bowl completely clean, it smells lovely, and best of all it really as worked, she is like a new horse.

I am thinking of feeding new pony Mollichaff calming as she is still very nervous and I think it will help. But I used to feed magcalm by global herbs to my last horse which worked a treat. Different horses do well on different products so you may have to try a few before you find the best one. I would try mollichaff calming first as it is probably the most cost effective way.
