Can I please have some recommendations and opinions on calmers that people have used.

Am taking Ben out tomorrow so that he can get use to going out again. With the rubbish weather and Ben going lame in October have spent most of winter schooling at home in an indoor school. Daughter took him out the other weekend for a walk and trot dressage test but spent 40 mins in the warm up ring bucking and cantering off. Couldnt even get him down the centre line.

Am thinking of giving him a calmer tomorrow before we head off so would be gratefully for any suggestions.

Had a nice one today, must admit was a bit of a wimp and had somebody walk next to us part of the way, but he was a very good boy.

Tomorrow we have the chance to go to a cross country schooling course with a couple of other horses from the yard, Ben and I are just going to hack around up and down the hills, planning on going in the opposite direction to the other couple but will have another horse with us that luckily will being ridden by one of the instructors on the yard.

Body protector and pelham the order of the day, hopefully I am worrying for nothing.

Topspec didnt do anything
the blue chip one worked wonders

Have used Nupafeed and highly recommend it. Don't put it in the night before though - has to be fresh in the feed. Others didn't work for our boy but they are all different!

I use equine america magnitude and it is fantastic!! I have used most things but this one is the only one that works and one of the cheapest too at £18.99 for 6 months supply.

You can double up the doses before comps etc... and works as well as an instant calmer.
