Recommendations on Cordless Clippers Please

Sorry, I know there is a trimmer enquiry too, but am now about to buy some new clippers and i need them to conform to the following -

must be cordless - so don't tangle up around legs (mine) etc.
must be very quite - (don't want to get kicked in head!)
must be able to hog manes and clip thick feathers

if anyone else has a lightweight show cob, would be nice to hear what you use to get around the clumpy fetlocks etc! am soooooo fed up of having to scissor most of the fur off then use very quite trimmers (cob is such a drama queen - and very heavy when he leaps on you to get away from awful noisy snake which wants to bite him all over!) sooo time consuming!

I invested in some Heiniger Cordless Clippers last year. They are brill. Highly recommend them, however they arent cheap at about £300. They are great for hogging manes and clipping feathers off.
 
I have the Laube 555 Cordless clippers - had them for 4 years and hogged my cob and trimmed his heels with them every 3 weeks or so.
Not cheap, but very light and powerful.
 
i have the liveryman harmony, paid about £155 they come with a battery pack and a mains cable so you can use either. i brought these as i only have one horse to clip and didn;t want to spend a fortune but i have to say i've been very impressed. this year i managed to clip my horse 4 times with blanket clip, shetland pony 3 times with belly clip- lots of hair, and friends pony belly clip once- he is very nervous of clippers and these are lovely and quiet and he was very good.
considering the price compared to other clippers i think they're well worth a look. can't see why they wuldn;t hog and do feathers since they coped v well with ponies v thick winter coats and are still sharp, they are very lightweight and charge in about 2 hrs lasting for about the same.

I had a pair of Laube ones and they blew up, literally. Just completely shattered, and according to a knowledgable frienbd, the plastic isnt designed to cope with the persistant vibration associated with moving parts of the clippers. The Heiniger ones are fab, I have a pair of corded ones now, and they are awesome. Definitely the best of the cordless ones I have seen/tried.
