Hi all,
My first post i have an 18month DHP straight of the moors he is very nervous and although I am now able to touch him he is still very nervous. I have had supercalm for 2 months but doesn't seem to be doing anything. Anyone had this problem?? Recommend any calmer that is better?
Thanks in advance

If he is very young and straight off the moors, it would be expected that he will be nervous. More important than calmers is your time and patience in teaching him he has nothing to fear from you, which can take many months. Could also be in part his personality, and again I would not want to mask or modify this through a calmer, at least until you know him better and have worked out what his issues are.
Some hill ponies have unknown backgrounds, with only little or intermittent rough handling, so he may have poor experiences of people, which is worse than none at all. My experience of unhandled youngsters is that once they get that you are their friend, it all becomes easy. Others here may have more experience of calmers - I do see that it will help you if you can find one that works.
