I am feeding formulas for feet, its slightly chaeper than farriers formula, but apparently made by the same people/ same things in it. (im sure i read that on here somewhere)
I am yet to see any difference but i have only just started a second tub.
I use Keratex and have done for the past 3 years. I have a TB will crap feet - my farrier suggested it when I first got him as he kept loosing shoes. It takes about 6/12 months to get into their system - but it's fab stuff. One of my friends also uses it on hers now and already notices the difference after bout 3 months. Expensive - but worth every penny!!!
I used Farriers Formula for about two years and agree its good but expensive. What with all the other things I feed I was looking at saving a few pennies and a friend recommended 'surefoot' by Dodson + Horrell. A year later GG's feet are still pretty good. I also use keratex as well but not as regularly as it says on the tin (or bottle!)...more when I remember!
Since mine have had black sunflower seeds, I have after about 8 months really notice a big improvement - mine are barefoot. This year Cairo has not needed shoes for summer as he normally does and Chancer's feet have not had a chip out of them.
In fact, they have had more of an improvement with Cairo then feeding biotin plus did.
