Hi, can anyone advise how long it took for their horse to be comfortable after having corns removed?

Mine had one on outside of each front hoof (farrier said they were 'dry' corns and quite small, looked to be the case as I saw them before farrier pared them back and horse was re-shod).

Horse when walking in paddock was landing toe first, this stopped immediately after farrier visit so I presumed he must be feeling better. Vet said to give him a week off then try gentle hack.

Took him for walk out on Sunday, he is still uncomfortable being ridden downhill (no problem at all uphill) as he was before the discovery of the corns.

Just want to know how long is reasonable for the soreness to go, before I get vet out to investigate possible other causes (which I've already spoken to him about). Anyone had similar experience? Thanks!
