I want to get something to clear up my guys thrush and I think he may possibly has a little while line disease and as a general protection and clense for his feet.

Atm hes pretty much out 24/7 and he does come in during the day quite a bit but not religiously and in the winter hes pretty much in 24/7 advise please?
 
I get their products from my EP but you can get them online.

Always handy to have: hoof stuff (cotton packing in a sticky white bas with honey), arti-mud (medicated clay) and field paste (more spreadable version of arti-mud.

I also use Silvetrasol (not Red Horse) from my EP for thrush and general hoof disinfecting.
 
I've used the field paste for a few years and highly recommend it, helps deal with a multitude of scenarios.

Really works with thrush and all sorts of other infections.

The benefit of it is being clay based it stays in the foot when they are out in the field or in the stable, so continues to work.

It does seem expensive, but you don't need to use it daily (unless getting on top of an infection), so it lasts along time.
 
I am trying to work out what product I need, from looking on web Sole clense seems my best option?
 
Their Hoof Stuff is the best packing there is for odd holes in feet (and is also pretty good for keeping dirt out of deep clefts in frogs). Amazing stuff. You pack it in, and in it stays. Not for a few hours, not for a day, but for as long as there's a hole there, through rain and mud and 24/7 turnout. I've packed an abscess hole, and then repacked it three or four days later - you have to pick out the stuff and it comes out of the depth of the hole still clean and smelling of honey. I've tried making my own with cotton wool, zinc oxide cream and honey, but I just can't get it to be as good as the Red Horse stuff :D I think it's amazing. If you have holes (including white line separation) or clefts needing packing, get some!

I've used the Field Paste too, but although it smells nice, you really need to apply it to dry feet. Unless we've had a dry spell, it just doesn't work with us (and we never seem to have a dry spell!).

Sole cleanse is good, but because it's liquid doesn't stay in the foot, if i were you go for field paste first, it's just as good at sorting out thrush. You'll go through alot of the sole cleanse quickly.

So which is the best out of them all, hooft stuff, field paste or artimud. My guy has a little thrush/ white line disease and I want something just to maintain a healthy hoof.

He is barefoot behind and shod in front, can i pack it into his front feet to?
 
I'd go with field paste - my boy is shod in front and barefoot behind - I use it in the old nail holes in front and use it in the grooves either side of the frog and the white line - and occasionally all over the sole.
 
I've just invested in the hoof stuff (for deep central succlus) and the veiled paste for my needy. So far, so good.

How thickly do you guys apply the field paste?
 
Give Sam (owner of red horse a ring) he's great and will give you the answers you are looking for before buying without being sure. I love his products. Our boy was lame with thrush looked horrible and his products cleared it up very quickly!
