I found this bottle of Red Rum Whitener Spray in my tack room, and no idea of how old it is, but it's nearly a full bottle.

My cat had a yellow stain in her white fur, so I sprayed this on, now my cat is purple and NOT white! I tried washing it out afterwards and it's stuck in there.

What did I do wrong or is it too strong really to use on cats?

If it's just to be used on horses and anyone wants it then do let me know as it's no good to me, I don't think they make it any longer.

OP, please speak to your cat's vet, they will advise what to use to remove it

Its not a problem I don't need to remove it as it's fading and will grow out over time.

I'll give it a go on a horses creamy/white tail and see what happens or white legs? I was really only asking for "instructions on how to use this product" do I just spray it in and leave it? spray it in and wash it out? Perhaps as its well over a year or two old it's gone off and now isn't able to come out of the fur and just stains it? I cannot see a best before date on the bottle?
