I know people with dogs called Bran and Lugh. And a few Ruas!

Arklepig I always loved the boys' names in the Children of Lir....Aodh, Fiachra and Conn.

I knew someone who called their gorgeous red setter ‘blue’ …kid you not! ? In a strange way it really suited him…lovely dog/temperament….met a few and theyve always had lovely temperaments. You’re in for some fun…theyre super lovely!
There used to be a red setter round here called Blue, they moved away a couple of years ago. I wonder if it's the same one?

Met a Irish setter called Rua on Friday Our 2 setters had great fun playing with him. Now leaning towards the puppy being called Rua and using Roo as a name to call him on.They run and jump like little kangaroos! so it seems appropriate.
Will see which suits him when I meet him Padraig or Rua.

I have now reserved our puppy (a boy)an Irish Red Setter
Can the lovely forum members help with suggestions for a name would like an Irish link .
Already have a Finnegan known as Finn
Have already had a Murphy Fergal Rafferty and Rufus I don't use a name again
Thanks in advance.
If pup was a girl, I would have chosen Eibhlín. Purely because on walks you could have said 'Come on, Eileen!'
