Best way is sheep, they are brilliant for getting rid of clover as they change the ph balance of the field making it unsuitable for clover.

My fields were completly full of it when i bought my place, and it is obviously completly unsuitable for horses. I mixed grazed sheep and within a year the clover was at an acceptable level.

I sprayed my field in autumn last year with Forefront to
a) get rid of the ragwort and
b) reduce the amount of clover.

I have no ragwort or clover at all this year! (and my field was riddled with both when I bought this place 18 months ago)
