Redwings Horse Sanctuary, Norfolk

Visited today - spent about 4 hours there.
Some heartbreaking back stories, alongside many of healing and recovery. Would certainly recommend.

we have a rescue here, heartbreaking is the only word to describe his suffering, but he`s a happy boy now

they learn a lot from doing that job, how to bring back to life an abandoned bag of bones and give it some hope

When we closed our local riding club down the money in the account was divided between Redwings, the Air Ambulance and our local RDA. My husband and myself went up to Norfolk to see the sanctuary and were shown all around and told all the various stories about the horses, some of it was very sad. They are beautifully looked after there and have every need available.

I visited Redwings many years ago - it was such a beautiful, tranquil place.

I would love to visit Redwings some day. They helped our sanctuary with a massive rescue intake years ago though I'm not sure which branch they went to. I know they do an absolutely stellar job with all their horses there.
