I am looking to get a new flashing / reflective collar for my retriever but I have tried 2 types already and they lasted less than a week!

Anyone got any good recomendations that may last a bit longer!! One of my neighbours uses somehting for a bike but it goes on the lead so no use for the collar!!

I use bike lights, the little flashy ones. Just taped them on to a spare collar, red one on one side and white on the other then I know which way the dog is facing in pitch blackness. If you only have one light it goes under the chin and isn't much use!

WE use the halo flashing collars, and have ten dogs, they last forever, we have not yet replaced our batteries and they are super bright.

Not sure if u have tried them, if not jsut go to e.bay and type halo flashing dog collar, they are cheap

I have just looked at mine and can't see the makers name. However they are brilliant. I've had them for 3 years and no problems. To me they are essential on dark,or dull days/evenings especially as I have2 black dogs.
I got mine from Petsmart. They are also padded so are comfy for the dogs.

I use the Visiglo ones, they are available from online pet stores and ebay.

A bit of user feedback: the ones with one solid LED line around the collar are VERY bright! Too bright imo. I also have the one that has flashing bones which I prefer.

Thank you! Have just bought a halo one on ebay and also a visoglo one so we will see!

I need them as bright as possible as it is to see where he is when doing the horses at night as he goes off up the hill after bunnies or away into the trees!! (plus if he is wandering around on our shared drive the neighbours won't miss him!!

I only put a collar on one dog last thing at night so I can see where he has buggered off to, another dog ate the proper collar so now Boston trundles off wearing one of those headlamp type things designed for humans (round his neck, it kept slipping off his head) on flashy mode.

My brother swears by the ones with the solid LED lights all the way round, he has two little black dogs and once spent 3 hours wandering around the New Forest looking for the dogs in the pitch dark, he swears that they were actually creeping along behind him!
