ive gone up this morning and gave him his medication from vet hes on
bute
Norodine antibiotics
Flamazine(cream)

i gave his supplement (cortaflex) and meds above (not cream obviously) in his feed with garlic granules, chaff and pasture mix. feed was wet and he ate some but then refused to eat rest i though garlic would hide medication but obviously not any ideas how i can get him to eat it? he normally eats suppliment/garlic and occasional bute fine.

Just syringe it down- mix with a little warm water and some golden syrup (if you wish) then find the largest syringe you can.

Never fails: make up the feed as normal then when mixed thoroughly, chuck a good cupful of Tesco's cheapo apple juice into it and DON'T stir any more. He'll think he's died and gone to heaven!

Apple juice doesnt work

Apple juice doesn't work???????????????????????????????

Are you sure you're putting enough in? I'd start off putting the whole damned carton in if necessary, reducing gradually as ned got the idea. Oh dear. WHat is his all time favourite treat? I had great success with a previous ned by making daily golden syrup sandwiches and hiding the meds in the middle. If all else fails, it will have to be the syringe and yoghurt/apple sauce mix. Good luck.
