Hello,

I’m going to start showing this year so I thought I’d try and look the part by buying some straight cut regent boots, with the garter. Well they are AMAZING, but they don’t have a zip, and I have a high instep and I cannot for the life of me get my foot in my regular size. I’m waiting for the next size up to arrive, but am worried that they might not work. Has anyone else ever had this problem, and did the next size up solve it?

I have some regents, to get them on I have to stamp around until foot slides in. They come off fairly easily with a boot jack. I also have some Bromonts with zips....so much easier and much more comfortable, the Regents now feel like I have my legs in a plaster cast!

I have a high instep, I had pull on regents as my first proper long boots. The boot pulls are essential as Red said. I found them OK once they were on, after they were worn in.
I only wear boots with a front zip these days though!

Yes, I’ve heard regents take a lifetime to break in, but they do look so smart!

im going to pray that the bigger size works!

Sounds like the way to go. I’ve also bought some leather stretcher, and will hopefully get the bigger size to work!
