Hi all, I’ve managed to pick up a nice pair of second hand regent riding boots off eBay. I was feeling incredibly chuffed that I got them in my size (6) for an absolute bargain, and completely missed the measurements of H44 W36. I have slim calves so thought I’d be ok...wrong.

I can’t get the damn things over my legs. I haven’t tried particularly hard as I’m a bit scared of getting them stuck and having to be cut out, but I haven’t had proper pull on riding boots in about a thousand years. Is this normal? Do I need to get the chalk out or should I give up and stick them back on eBay?

Try mid calf pop socks with them that don't take up much room and provide a little bit of slip or put small plastic bags (the ones you get in supermarkets to put veg in are ideal) again to let them slide over you legs.

If not some wooden boot trees with stretch them a little but sadly sometimes if they don't fit then they just done fit!
