And he's a SUPERSTAR!
Just a very quick update. It's now the start of his 3rd year of being a normal horse and he had a 3 month break chilling in a massive field over the winter before coming back into work. On Thursday they attended a BEu18 XC training day and he was astonishing.
He was a keen bean (and a poser who loves the camera...)!
Straight over the skinny! Clever pony
He's clearly been practising all this ditches and skinny stuff in the field when no one was looking as he didn't put a hoof out of line and tried his best for Al. They jumped loads of Novice combinations (in the photos the hedge is 3'9 and the skinny is 3'6- he's just a giant!) and got told he was 'super!' by someone who Al has a lot of respect for which left her

He then showed everyone that he's been practising his stressage in the field as well because the next day he was brilliant in his dressage lesson- even their instructor was :O at how co operative and willing he was. (he's prone to going "make me!" before deciding to play along). She even gave him a polo!
Anyone who dithers over ex-racers- he is one and he is amazing. It's taken him a while to leave the mentality of it all behind in some regards but he's the kindest, most genuine horse we have ever owned. He's also always been the nicest hack!
