And he's a SUPERSTAR!

Just a very quick update. It's now the start of his 3rd year of being a normal horse and he had a 3 month break chilling in a massive field over the winter before coming back into work. On Thursday they attended a BEu18 XC training day and he was astonishing.

He was a keen bean (and a poser who loves the camera...)!

Straight over the skinny! Clever pony :D

He's clearly been practising all this ditches and skinny stuff in the field when no one was looking as he didn't put a hoof out of line and tried his best for Al. They jumped loads of Novice combinations (in the photos the hedge is 3'9 and the skinny is 3'6- he's just a giant!) and got told he was 'super!' by someone who Al has a lot of respect for which left her :D :D :D

He then showed everyone that he's been practising his stressage in the field as well because the next day he was brilliant in his dressage lesson- even their instructor was :O at how co operative and willing he was. (he's prone to going "make me!" before deciding to play along). She even gave him a polo!

Anyone who dithers over ex-racers- he is one and he is amazing. It's taken him a while to leave the mentality of it all behind in some regards but he's the kindest, most genuine horse we have ever owned. He's also always been the nicest hack!

What a stunning animal!

:D I'm so biased, but I agree! He's a proper pretty boy as well, and he looks so cheerful about his work. You know some horses are just happy to be doing something for someone? He's one of them- always tries his best and gets really upset if he's not getting it.

What a lovely post :) Made me smile thankyou :) Your horse looks so lovely well done.

Thank you :) He's my sister's little (16.3hh...) darling! He is lovely, honestly a fantastic advert for ex-racers.

he's looking great :D

Where are those vids you promised in the CR thread? :D

They're coming veryyy slowly... Youtube is such an effort! And thank you :D Mum and Al work so hard at keeping him- he eats probably the equivalent weight of one your gang a day but looks good on it. When people ask what he's fed, the general reply is lots of whatever he likes!

He looks like a fab little horse!
It's so lovely to see an ex-racehorse settled into a new and happy life :)

Aw, thank you :) He was a confused racehorse- he was fast and did quite well but he just didn't get why he was there. Pity as his sire (Alflora) has produced some really decent racehorses!

Baaad youtube!

Haha, I bet if I offered mine enough food, they could each out-eat him individually  :D They'd end up the size of houses though, while he just ends up looking well

Poor fat ponies :P Following ponies like Henry (the flying cob) who looked at soaked hay and ballooned, Reggie is a bit of a shock! He just doesn't care about food... *mumbles about the month when he ate cherry mollased chaff as it was what he decided he liked, then hides before she gets murdered*

Aw what a lovely post :D he's a really nice looking boy, seems he's happy to be out and about after his break! Hope he carries on going so well :)

Thank you :) Last season was really educational but hopefully this season can take that on so they can build from the good foundations.

Wow he's lovely, very nice pop too!!

He's a pingy pony in disguise as a lollopy giant :D Thank you!
