Regional - Patchetts

Just got back from the last day at Patchetts. Such a high standard (as always). Amazing how many of them were spooky in the bottom AK corner. One poor woman was on a beautiful horse that I reckon was in the running for qualifying, but a shaft of light in the CM corner totally freaked him out and he wouldnt go near it, which was sadly right in front of the M judge !!!!! Whoops.
Feeling all inspired now to get out and get going.
Anyone else go?

Yes I did, lots of problems trying to get the correct stike off etc. Thank god there was no sunlight as I would have been jumping that!

That is so awful when the test is spoiled by something like that... I mean how can you get a horse used to a randon blindingly bright ray of light on the arena surface/wall

fingers crossed that wont be a problem at Addington!

Mine hates it, nearly chucked me off in a sidesaddle test once cos of the sunlight on the floor and at Wix AF's last year we had to jump over the sunlight to enter the arena. Talk about making an entrance.

All 4 corners were scary for us!! hehehe (the flowers were after us

)

We had that as well Jo C, at the Poplars we had to "walk" (supposedly) through a puddle but we shew being a ultimate allrounder and lept it ending up with me between his ears
