need I say any more!? Suprisingly we didnt get placed!

Going to give Merlin a bit of a break from dressage and do some jumping for a bit until the hormones are under control! (realised how randy he was when I got back to the lorry after collecting my score to find him err..... relieving himself!!

The in between work was good, but I got a few 0's for the movements where he was in the air! My first 0 ever!!

Going to try out the Area festival at Elementary I think, I'm going to wait for one of the later ones to give him the best chance of being relaxed!

Next show will probably be Burghley young event horse!

Will post pics if I get them!

At last, I've been waiting for this all day/evening

I'm sorry but that made me chuckle.

Oh dear! I did send the vibes, just not enough by the look of it!
I'm sure he'll enjoy jumping for a little change: he's got a nice jump in him

Relieving himself eh?!

Poor lad just wanted to get his leg over, and like every man he couldn't concentrate until he had released his love juices. If you had ridden him after that I can guarantee he would have been a different animal

I found it the same with my young stallion, at first he was kind of nieve and then he realised that show=totty and a chance to show just how GORGEOUS he was!!!!
It gets better , he'll get over himself soon.
Until then keep up the good work

Oh no!

I've been checking in regularly waiting for the good news and then this!

I'm so sorry Mat. Perhaps next time you could provide him with a lady friend half an hour or so before his test. Can you just imagine?!!!

Seriously, I'm gutted for you. I know how badly you wanted to do well.

Well at least you know he has got some spunk/spirit in him...!!!always a great plus for dressage!!! I must admit I did have a giggle too.... imagining him getting rather frustrated... bless him...!!! I am sure he wanted to just say "look at me"! Not quite the right moment though eh??!! Male hormones for ya!! tehe!! Well done for sitting it though...I am sure it was a little hairraising.... you have much to come from him I am sure!
wink.gif

I like all the spunk/ "come" innuendo's!!!! lol!
grin.gif

We have all had a laugh about it here!

I have lots more in the pipeline and a few nice youngsters coming through next year so it will be nice to take the pressure off him a bit!

Thatnks for the comment partoow! He is like a different horse in the winter, so watch this space!
smile.gif

I'm glad I didnt wear my top hat as its a bit loose and I'm convinced it would have flown off while I was being thrown about!
grin.gif

Sounds quite exciting though - maybe you could invent a new freestyle test???
Sure there are plenty of us who would appreciate marks for leaving the ground, spooking, rearing, bucking, spinning etc
grin.gif

Sorry to hear he was a bit full of himself he was obviously limbering up for his show jumping career!

Naughty Pony. If you want I'll bring Dolly along to the next show and he can relieve his tension on her. They would have lovely babies.

I'm with you PG, I would hate to come up against quite a few people on this forum. Then again, you are also one of them

I hope the Areas go well for you... where abouts are you doing them and what classes are you doing?
