Registered name ideas please!

I've had my boy for a while now - he came to me registered but unnamed, and I've decided I really need to get on with choosing a name and sending off the paperwork.

So would like some ideas from the lovely people of HHO please! I need to provide 4 options, and I have one strong contender at the moment but am at a bit of a loss for the other ones.

So a bit about him - he's a 5yr old Irish Sport horse x Oldenburg, bred in County Galway in Ireland. He is by Castlelawn Galloway (Galoubet A, Calando I) and out of a mare called The King's Pride (with lines to Kildalton King going back to King of Diamonds.)

Personality wise he's a bit Jekyll and Hyde - mostly sweet and cuddly, brave and genuine. But he definitely has a stroppy, strong-willed streak, as well as being sensitive and a bit of a worrier.

I'd like a name that ties in to his Irish roots, and ideally to his breeding too. But also something that fits with his personality.

For that reason, my favourite name so far is Galway's Pride. But would love some more ideas before I have to make a decision! Pictures (best bit!) are below:

Pick and mix for anyone who gets to the end of this!

Oh he is beautiful!!

I like your choice of Galway's Pride

Overs I thought of... King of the Castle, Galloway King... Yup, I'm stumped.

Lots more updates on him though, with pictures, please!! :D

Haha thank you - he certainly thinks so too! ;)

Must admit I've not been wonderful at updating on him - we've had a bit of a challenging year so a lot of it would have been depressing drivel, but now we're up and running again I probably should make more effort.

Here's one more - just because ;)

I like Pride and your first choice is good, I would just use it slightly differently to get the 4 you require, Pride of Galway, The Pride of Galway, The Galway's Pride. Proud could also be used as he certainly looks proud and very smart.

It's too early for a good name idea from me but that horse is gorgeous! What a lovely outlook, he has the look of eagles, as my mum would say.

Gosh thanks - that's a really lovely turn of phrase!

My bargain basement pony is coming good - he's been worth the effort :)

He's gorgeous OP! Very nice! I like Galway's Pride, our ISH is from Galway and I wanted to give her the show name Galway Lass but she's already got a registered name

Wow your horse is gorgeous. As a name what about King of the Claddagh, King to tie in with his blood lines and Claddagh was an Irish community in Galway.

Thank you! Oh I like that - my only worry would be commentators pronouncing it wrong (one reason I have steered away from other Irish words)

Ah thank you! Oh lovely, whereabouts in Galway? I tried to get in touch with Fallon's breeders but never heard anything back from them :(
