registering for showing.

hi ive got a 4yr old middle weight-ish freisianxwarmblood hunter who stands at around 16;2/3hh. im hoping to show her this year unaffiliated and next year go affiliated but was unsure about registering etc.? just wondered if anyone had any advice/experience etc im a member of a riding club and a pony club and am 16 if that makes any difference.

Ask on the web site The Show Ring Forum and or Horse Gossip all geared to showing ??? My only query is your age for affiliated showing under SHB rules I think you might be too young.

You would have to register yourself and the horse for affiliated showing with sports horse gb - if your intent was hunter classes

I would advise that you stick to unaffilated this year and see how you get on. The next stage up from local shows would be Ponies (UK),for example. These shows allow you to enter even if you are not affiliated to them, although you would have to become a member to do their championship shows which you would have to qualify for. Equifest is another large show in the summer which may be worth your while researching on the internet.

Sounds like your horse may be a hunter type - difficult to tell without a picture.
