Regrowing hair on bald patch?

Kasper has always had a bald patch on his shoulder, it's not a rug rub or, as far as i can tell, caused by any sort of friction from anything.

The area of hair loss is slowly getting bigger and he has a few extra bald spots appearing, but only in a very specific area along the same vetical transect.

Firstly, any idea what it is?

Secondly, anyone know any good hair regrowth treatments I could try?

(My finger included for scale, not because i think you wont find it, lol!)

No idea what is casing it but for regrowth it might be worth trying Mega-Tek. I have started using this recently for a bald patch on my gelding and the hair does seem to be growing back.

im not sure about the patch, maybe a scar? but i use megatec on my horses mane for growth, its an amazing product to get the hair growing, just read that its getting bigger, is it possible for it to be a skin reaction to what you wash your rugs in?

I thought it was a rug rub but it persists all through summer when he is rug-less

Alopecia crossed my mind, may get my vet to cast an eye over it next time they come for vaccinations
