So last night I accidentally gave my gelding the dose of regumate that was meant for my mare 😨 After taking to Google I was reassured that it wasn't going to kill him. This morning my daughter went to yard as saddle fitter was coming to try some saddles on him and he has large fluidy patches on his backside and legs! To look at them they look like fat pads. He did have very large fat pads in this area but has lost weight and they have gone down considerably. My first thought was a reaction to the regumate, rang vet who assured me it would not harm him and was extremely unlikely to cause this sort of reaction. Nothing else has changed....feed or grazing etc.

Does anyone use regumate on geldings and, if so, has anyone had a reaction to it? Or anyone that has experienced reactions in mares to regumate?
