Regumate and seasons

My mare started regumate 10 days ago, she was due to be in season over the weekend, although she didn't show she was in season she was very tense over her back and grumpy but not as bad as she normally is when in season. Is it common that they show some signs?

My mare was like this too, the regumate helped with her moody nature and improved her behavior at this time in general, but didn't completely stop her seasons as it does with some. She was on it almost permanently for two years, the good news is, that this year she's coping better and we haven't used any at all this summer yet - so here's hoping we've finally made the breakthrough!!!!

How old is she, I've held off until this year in the hope mine grew out of the naughty behaviour

She was 9 this spring, mind you I bought a gelding in the spring too - I'd pretty much given up on her, and no way would I ever buy another mare!!! So whether it's maturity or having a boyfriend that's improved her mood I'll never know!!!:wink3:
