regumate - how quick does it work

My mare is having a trial of regumate to see if it helps with the problems we have been having ?hormonal ?ovarian tumor. Just wondering how quickly people have noticed improvements in their mares???

Almost immediate improvement certainly by 2 weeks it is well in the system and will have made whatever difference it is going to.

Like the others said. I tried my mare on it in the summer - vast improvement, but too much - she lost all her personality and became very zombie like. Then when we took her off it, she was absolutely horrendous for about a month - worse than she was before. The vets don't tell you that bit!

Yea give it a few days- seesm to work very qucikly. Just watch when u r using it- put on gloves and be careful as if women come into contact with it- it can make you infertile!!

i have experience of a mare i ride that was on regumate and progesterone after that, she originally was thought to have a trapped egg, please PM if you want to discuss, what does the vet think is wrong with your mail?X

3 days for my mare - but as stated she also suffered side effects. She started bagging up as if about to foal - then started producing 'milk'. Not nice and uncorfortable for her but she was far more sane to handle. Hoping she won't need it next Spring. Have stocked up on insurance claim just in case.
