Hi guys; posted yesterday about my girl who has always been hot headed hormonal lady really struggling this year by a couple of tarty geldings arriving at the yard. She's been in season pretty much since Christmas. & she's turned into an anxious, worrying, hard to ride, focus etc I can't be anyway near a horse without rearing, biting etc etc.

Rang the vet & she's been put on regumate to see if that helps - I hope it does as if not she's going to be scanned etc ! Anyone had good outcomes with regumate?
Thanks

My mare is very tarty when in season (although not as bad as you have described) and I have had great results from Naf Oestress! I tried it before regumate as it is much cheaper so may be worth a try as could save you a few £££ if it works for your mare!

all i know is that you have to be very careful with it if you are a woman handling the stuff. We have had amazing effect with Chaste berry (agnus castus ) I can't begin to tell you how well this works

Hi; yes I'm armed with gloves & overalls to handle it. She's been on the angus for over a year now & initial it worked but not having an effect now

My girl is on it constantly as it stands. She was spooky, stressy, distracted, and constantly stopping to talk to the boys (think couldn't get her out of the barn). We put her on it and the change was almost immediate and so much happier now (her and me). Tried to stop it before Christmas just to see if could but whether it is down to the weird mild weather or whether it is just her but she was back to horrid within 48hrs. Put her back on it and she is angelic again.
I know it is expensive but working out about £150.00 for 3 months supply and I was paying nearly £40 a tub for Oeatress etc
