Currently embarking on my very first rehab plan and wanted to keep a bit of a record. If anyone else is rehabbing/working on a school issue etc please join in!

so I am on day 2 following hock and SI medication. Today was our first time out on our own and she was naturally nappier and behind the leg but definitely much more even behind than she was pre medication. I’m going to try and go out by myself every other day and with company the other. Gives me a chance to work on her nappiness on our own but still have confidence giving rides every other day.

Mabel came with so she is going to be very fit and slim by the end of the rehab plan too!

Have you had her checked over by a good bodyworker since she was medicated? She might have residual muscle soreness from moving awkwardly before. My chiro vet has been invaluable in this respect.

A lot of in hand walk work over poles (just on a lunge line, no training gizmos) would help to strengthen her up.

Good luck.

Waiting for the physios next trip to our yard!

I went out with a friend and their horse yesterday and she felt great, really working from behind and I didn’t have to work at all to keep her from drifting out the shoulder or hind so I know todays reluctance will be her dislike at being out on her own. The fact that I have to go out and ride will hopefully work wonders on tackling our reluctance to hack on our own as I have no choice!
