Hey guys

I have recently taken on a rescue, She needs alot of TLC and is very under weight.

My vet is coming to check her out, take bloods, jab and worm on Thursday.
I am a bit worried as she doesn't like picking up her back feet, but she is only 4 so im hoping its just inexperience rather than a health issue.

I have started her on small amounts of Blue chip pro and alfa oil. Adlib hay with small slices of carrots hidden in the nets. She had 2 vitamin jabs before she came to me.

She currently weights 385kg, Ideally she needs to be 585kg. She is a 4 year old 15;2 coloured cob mare.

Im hoping i can do right by her, but any advice is welcome.

Here she is :)

Oh the poor girl. Glad she has someone to care for her. When I had a horse arrive looking poorly (not like this, though) the vet suggested feeding as much oil as he would tolerate, as it is so hugely calorific. Luckily he was a good eater, so I could be liberal with the vegetable oil, but I suppose you wouldn't want to put a horse off that was more fussy.
