High upon a hillside
My neighbour needs to rehome her 5yo beagle, and so far the beagle rescue haven't been too helpful. My neighbour has two beagles, brother and sister, but the sister is no longer happy living there with their toddler who is now two. She has changed in temperament and despite good management has come close to going for him unprovoked. Now, without living a life behind gates and/or muzzled she obviously isn't happy and needs to find somewhere she is. They did research on family dogs before they got them as puppies and are devastated that they have to rehome her. She's very well bred, and neutered but could still show (could she?!) but equally would be happy chasing rats on a farm.
Is there anywhere else they can try? I don't think training will help, as much as they love her the trust is gone and you can't have dogs like that around toddlers unless you want more stress in your life.
