Im thinking of rehoming a horse,

I have owned two horses (my daughter competed) but she now doesnt have the time due to studying and to be honest she has lost interest :(

but i havent !! i dont want to ride but i really really miss the horsey life, caring and pampering and generally being around them.

SO i thought instead of buying one why not give a horse a home that really needs it.

I dont really know where to start. Does anyone know any rescue centres where I can enquire. I have tried Blue Cross. Thanks

TRC. Thoroughbred rehab centre. They have a few horses that can b loaned to ridden homes but r still healthy.

They just looking for homes n if u Dnt get on or can't afford them any more. They go back to them :)

When you say rehome - where are you going to keep said horse? Do you have your own land or are you thinking of putting on livery? I only ask as most people who would want to rehomea horse for non-riding purposes have their own land (otherwise it's a very expensive pet!) and my only thought was, if this was the case and you don't currently have any horses the you may need to rehome more than one. I don't think horses should be kept alone.

If you are putting on a livery yard then fair dos.

We had one from the Bluecross many years back. The RSPCA also generally have a fair few but other than that, all the orher rescues mentioned.
