Reiki

Useful therapy or hoodoo nonsense?

Well, I had it many moons ago and found it pretty amazing.
When I turned up I was highly sceptical about it all and thought I would never go back, but I did, again and again.
I found it amazing, deeply relaxing and quite odd sensations, like pulses across your body and the feeling of stress actually being taken out, it was weird but good imo.
You have to try it to understand really.
Would love to have it again but do not have the money to treat myself with it as I would love to,when I do have the money I will go again

I found it great on my old horse when she came down with lami. Another horse in the same yard did not survive her lami attack, nor did my friends horse. But mine recovered, never had another bout & went on to compete Aff dresage at elementary level at the age of 21 the following year. So i would use again, but pick a practitioner very carefully.

useful therapy, dogstar not sure what they meant on the radio as reiki is ' universal energy' it cant really be classed as good or bad. The idea is that the practioner channels the energy to the person/ animal etc and its dissolves the 'blocked' or stagnant energy in your body allowing it to flow round the body. Like what accupuncture is supposed to do but without the needles

Yes, you can get a practitioner who is recommended by the Reiki Federation, and they come with public liability insurance. Word of mouth is sometimes the best route though.
It shouldn't release "bad energy", Reiki can do no harm. I'd say try it. Humans can of course be affected by their perceptions, but see it carried out on animals and it can be quite thought-provoking.
I practise Reiki, and I'm pretty straightforward about it, no wafty airy-fairy stuff.
