sorry i know not how to spell that! any way, any one had any experiences of reiki for their horses? ive been advised that it could help the scatty mares minor back problem.

I have used it on my horse for a "chill out" only, he loves it but i would never use it on a back problem - I believe that only a physio can sort that out.

I agree. My horses love reiki and really lap it up - but it is no substitute for veterinary or other specialist treatments.

My ex had some reiki qualification and tried it on my horse. He just stood there looking at her "WTF are you doing?" Did not seem to have any effect on him whatsoever.

I do Reiki and if my horse had a back problem I would be calling out the physio/osteopath for him. He gets 6 months visits from an osteopath as a matter of course. Reiki might help with muscle relaxation, as would a heat pad.
