well vet x rayed this morning.

He has a 6mm bone chip moving in a pocket of fluid.
Its moved quite far from the original injury site.
plus the injury occured in Octobet 2011.
He last had an x ray 9 months ago and it was all nice and knitted together!

So its not lymphangitus or cellulitis!

Plan is to let the fluid pocket around the chip build up for a couple of days.
Then hopefully Friday vet will cut it open and hopefully it will come out!
If all goes well he should make a quick and full recovery.

Just really annoying.
The original injury was 18 months ago.
A check up x ray 9 months ago showed all was fine.
Hes been very active snd on decent work.
Then suddenly this!

Ahhhhhh!

If it goes to plan it should heal fairly quickly and you will be able to get back to where you were, it is probably better than the other options in many ways, although they did seem unlikely considering his history, the body does sometimes just decide to reject a piece of bone even if it appeared to be fully knitted it probably was not quite how it needed to be, hope it all goes well.
