Reins for showing.

I understand that for showing, you should have a plaited rein on the top and a plain one on the bottom. There is a choice of size of reins? For the plaited 5/8 or 3/4? I am probably being thick! Is one pony size? For the plain reins there are three choices 1/2, 5/8 or 3/4!??! I am buying a full sized bridle. Help! Many thanks.

I would go for 3/4 on the top rein and 1/2 for the bottom rein

In the wet have a bottom plain made with rubber on the inside for a better grip.
