Reins- how do you like them...? and do you wear gloves for riding?

How much in vet bills?

Plaited and wear gloves. I get horrible sores if I don't wear them, my skins rubs easily. I have horrid weeping rubs on feet from flip flops on holiday last week, sorry for the image!

Tiny hands, so rubber is out of the question and plain reins are as useful as a snowball in hell.......

I am one of the freaks.
I like Continental Reins! I like them for several reasons.
They are not bulky. (I find rubber, plaited etc bulky)
The are not slippery (I love leather reins but they slip when wet)
I don't need ot wear gloves with them for grip.
It's one length of leather I don't have to clean!

My second favourite reins are laced reins. I just like to have as little as possible in my hands.

I find Rubber Reins vile. They are bulky and they just feel horrible. (I do get used to them after a few mins, I just don't want them on my bridle).
