Remedial/ Excellent Farrier- Guildford, Surrey

As title really.

My horse is recovering from a tendon sheath injury in his near hind and on the last vets visit she mentioned that she is a bit worried about the balance of my horses feet all round.

So now looking for a farrier (preferably remedial) who specialises in problem feet (he has issues with his front feet too which are currently in NB with pads in summer but nowhere near 100%)

My horse is stabled in Worplesdon, Guildford

Any help/ recommendations/ pointers would be much appreciated!!

John Kavanagh. He is a lovely guy and is the remedial farrier at the Liphook Equine hospital. He lives in Frimley near Camberley so regularly in the Guildford area. I ma not sure how much space he has but if you speak to him tell him that Bev Davies recommended him

OMG.... Johnny used to be the farrier for the ponies in the riding school where I was a helper in the late 70s and early 80s.

He had a little jack russell called scrappy (if I remember rightly) and was a rather handsome if a bit hairy bloke!!!!

Mind you..... I was only 13!!!

Yes, he used to shoe my ponies in the 80's as well. I don't remember a jack russell but he did have a liver and white Springer. I used to go out with his brother (who was very dishy!) He is very hairy!
